The third pull is, for many people, the most daunting part of the Olympic lifts. Explosively pulling yourself under a heavy bar can be difficult and intimidating. Luckily, we are beginning a cycle of snatch balances to help you develop speed and stability pulling under the bar. Punch up in to the bar as you pull yourself down in to a strong overhead squat position. Begin with a comfortable, manageable weight that allows you to confidently drop under the bar. Lock in your upper back position so that bar doesn't wobble, and make sure to open the hips to squat as vertically as possible.
