The weather is cooling and it is time to get those great fall veggies. I found a recipe in True Food by Andrew Weil using purple cabbage as the main veggie plus carrots, onions, garlic and apple. Sound good so far? To enhance the flavours there is also some red wine, red wine vinegar, cloves, bay leaf, brown sugar, salt and pepper. I served this with a smoked pork chop (Hertel Brand) and of course the obligatory glass of wine.
